I have been offering individual and group counselling sessions to young people between 12-18 years old who have become a LAC (Looked After Child). I have worked in therapeutic residential care homes for looked after children with complex needs (ie.: Attachment Disorder, BPD, ASD, DSH, SEND, ADHD, etc.), who have endured traumatic experiences and/or criminal offending behaviour. I have also offered guidance to the care residential team on looking the young people behaviour and together devising strategies to their improvement. I have implemented Therapeutic Family support sessions on a weekly basis, which take place over the phone and face-to-face. I have been offering clinical training to the residential staff, when requested. I also have offered clinical supervision to counselling students who required university placements. I regularly have networked with YOT, CAMHS, Psychiatric teams and agencies which support children and young people with alcohol and drug issues.
